Founded in 1955, Apprisen (Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Midwest Inc.) is a non-profit whose mission is to help people improve the health of their personal finances through debt management, counseling, community outreach, and financial education. Financial education is at the core of the Apprisen mission. In addition to the financial education provided on an individual basis through comprehensive financial reviews, Apprisen reaches even more individuals through community activities, educational press releases, specialized financial education programs, and information and materials we make available to the public. To date, Apprisen has helped over half a million individuals and families learn how to manage money, balance their budgets, and get out of debt. Maryland license number 14-63.
