Conceptualized in 2017 and founded in 2019, Aprisa® develops uniquely formulated, high-quality, scientifically based skincare products focused on minimizing the appearance of dark circles, puffy eyes, fine lines, wrinkles and scarred skin, while nourishing and moisturizing the skin. Throughout our development, we have performed extensive research and tested our products with physician's offices and professional clinical control groups to deliver the greatest possible product to our customers, friends and neighbors. Our clinical results speak for themselves, our products work.
Our founders had two specific skincare concerns that led to the creation of Aprisa® - one focused on minimizing the appearance of the scars, and the other on creating skincare products that would not aggravate autoimmune diseases or cause allergic reactions.
Founder, Apral Jones, has been a pharmacist in the medical field since 1995, and was determined to find an answer as to why she would continually have unexplained reactions to skincare products, foods, and environmental triggers. After several years of frustration, Apral was finally tested for and correctly diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, Hashimoto’s. When applying new skincare products, Apral would experience side effects including scaly rashes on her face and neck, puffy face from inflammatory process, and isolated skin breakouts.
Once Apral identified Hashimoto’s Disease as the precursor to her increased skin sensitivities, she decided to use her vast knowledge of pharmacology, pharmaceutical compounding and ability as a pharmacist to source high quality ingredients with proven clinical effectiveness. Determined to create products that she could use without fear of an autoimmune reaction, Apral would literally test potential ingredients on her own skin to see if she had a reaction prior to moving forward with any formula! All of Aprisa’s products have been tested personally on Apral - aka the human guinea pig.
