On the 9th Meeting of the UK-China High Level People-to-People Dialogue in December 2016, the Ministry of Education (MOE) of China and the British Council signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) confirming the cooperation on the mutual recognition between British English tests (including IELTS and Aptis) and China's English proficiency level (CSE). Aptis has become the first English test mapped with both the CEFR and the CSE.
2016年12月中英第九次教育部长级磋商会议上，中国教育部考试中心与英国文化教育协会签署合作备忘录，确定合作开展包括雅思考试和Aptis普思考试在内的英国英语考试与中国英语能力等级量表（CSE）的对接研究。普思考试由此成为首个既与《欧洲语言共同参考框架》（CEFR）等级对接，又与中国英语能力等级量表（CSE）对接的考试。
