Astronomical Society of APU (ASAP)

The Astronomical Society of APU (ASAP) is an organization striving to bring together the aptitude of science and business to shed light on the importance of space business in Japan. Our ultimate goals include: - Connecting the university to Spaceport Oita, Space Port Japan Association, and various other potential affiliates with the promise of producing human resources with mindsets focused on space advancements as well as how meaningful the business and tourism side to them are. - Collaborating with the government of Oita in conducting different awareness-raising activities throughout the prefecture about space business. - Persuading Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University to open a new college department that focuses on the curriculum of space business & tourism and thus contributing to the cultivation of human resources.
