Aquajet Ltd.

Aquajet Ltd. was established to exploit a technology for recycling truck tires and other rubber-based products that have reached the end of their life cycle. Aquajet Ltd. is the first company to implement a truck-tire waterjet milling technology in its pilot plant, in Harta, Hungary, producing industrially applicable products. The products of this technology are fine rubber powder in the range of 50-400 microns and fine rubber crumb of 500-1500 microns. Instead of conventional shredding and mechanical grinding of tires, this new technology only applies ultra-high pressure water jet for extracting and simultaneously milling the rubber parts, leaving the reinforcing metal parts intact. The endproduct shows outstanding revulcanization characteristics, is PAH compliant, and has a wide range of applicability in the rubber industry, mainly in tire production. This innovative technology has been acknowledged by the special prize of EEP Award.
