Aquantis has achieved a renewable energy breakthrough with its 1.25 MW marine turbine, which generates electric power from constantly flowing ocean currents. This clean energy resource can help fill the void of baseload power with wind and solar, and from the retirement of coal-powered plants in the Southeastern U.S. Forty percent of the world’s population lives within 100 kilometers of a seacoast. In 2018, investment in new renewable energy systems, mostly wind and solar, was c. $300 billion.
