Aquarev

Aquarev is a venture-backed social enterprise created to renovate, revitalize, and revolve credit for up to 75,000 poorly performing smallholder shrimp farms in Indonesia. Via a proprietary agtech+fintech platform, farmers receive financial support for best-practice renovation and climate-smart intensification of their shrimp ponds, and are provided hands-on support and guidance at the farm level to optimize the day-to-day cultivation process. By following international standards and best practices for shrimp, farmers can improve their profitability while ensuring their farms are sustainably managed, reducing negative impacts on water, soil, coastal ecosystems, and reducing pressure on mangrove deforestation.
