We are Aquilón CyL S.L., a technology-based company established in March 2012 on the basis of technologies developed by the University of León (ULe) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). This initiative arose from the interaction between Mr Pedro Rubio, Professor of Infectious Diseases at the ULe's faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and the company formerly named Janus Developments, currently Spherium Biomed (www.spheriumbiomed.com), which is licensee of UAB's technology. This project became a reality thanks to the firm financial support of the technological fund "Seguranza", fostered by the regional government of Castille and León and managed by Clave Mayor. Aquilón aims to become the natural way to develop the findings and inventions of Spanish research, basically in the veterinary medicine field.
Nowadays, Aquilón has a permanent team supported by experts in oriented sciences, regulatory affairs, business, industry and finance, setting up a management model based on variable costs and focused on bringing the technologies acquired from its academic environment to a stage where its value is acknowledged by animal health and nutrition industries.
