ArbChat is an interview series pioneered by a team of young international arbitration practitioners on the Young ICCA Mentorship Programme 2022-2023. In ArbChat, these young practitioners to take on the role of hosts in interviews with prominent thought leaders in international arbitration Industry.
In particular, leading counsel, arbitrators and academics are interviewed and discuss contemporary issues in international arbitration. The audience also gets an opportunity to ask questions through a Q&A round thereafter.
The team launching this project comprises four Young ICCA Mentees:
1. Vishal Aggarwal - Vishal Aggarwal is a Dual Qualified Lawyer, qualified in England and India, who primarily focuses on commercial and investment arbitration and arbitration-related litigation. He has worked on diverse Investment Arbitration cases with law firms in London. He is the Senior Editor of arbitration book "Law, Practice and Procedure of Arbitration in India" published by Lexis Nexis.
2. Sunita Advani - Sunita Advani FCIArb MSIArb is an arbitral assistant to Mr Michael Lee of Twenty Essex. She sits on the THAC Panel of Arbitrators and the ACICA Tribunal Secretary Panel. She is qualified to practice in England & Wales, New York and Singapore. She previously practised international arbitration at an international law firm in Singapore.
3. Francis Chung - Francis Chung is a barrister-at-law at Rede Chambers in Hong Kong and a Fellow at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He specialises in international commercial arbitration and regulatory litigation. His personal profile can be found at https://redechambers.com/people/francis-chung/.
4. Ipek Ince - İpek is an associate at Gedik & Eraksoy in Istanbul and advises clients on domestic and international arbitration and litigation proceedings. She is one of the founders of Istanbul Very Young Arbitration Practitioners and board member at Moot Alumni Association.
