We specialize in leveraging advanced GIS site information by translating accurate LiDAR data into efficient remote site planning solutions. Our innovative workflows allow design professionals to rapidly begin conceptual design processes without the initial expense of a civil engineering site survey. All of the data that we provided is guaranteed to have the highest spatial accuracy through the application of geographic coordinate reference systems (CRS) and through the process of georeferencing. Georeferencing is a systematic methodology that accurately aligns layers of digitized spatial data, such as building footprints, contour lines, and all other topographic information. Our primary geospatial data is obtained from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in the form of a “point cloud.” The point cloud is a collection of millions of topographic points created via LiDAR systems. Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) is a laser-sensing technology that maps the Earth’s surface with extreme accuracy. Derived via airborne mapping technologies, LiDAR is a cost-effective alternative to traditional landscape mapping techniques. LiDAR produces highly accurate point cloud “datasets” that can be visualized, analyzed, and documented. Our GIS site plans provide LiDAR precision in a standardized CAD format. All plans include georeferenced point cloud replication, Esri satellite imagery, contours, and building footprints. The most up-to-date parcel boundaries are also documented via stringent comparison of city, county, and assessor’s parcel data.
