Originally founded as Arcadia Refining Company in 1929, Arcadia Operating, LLC has been a part of the Texas petroleum industry since shortly after the discovery of the great East Texas oil field in 1928. At the height of the oil boom during the 1970’s, Arcadia had three field offices (supporting over 350 operated wells) along with four oil field supply stores. Some of Arcadia’s most successful field discoveries include the Ann McKnight Field and Bellwood Lake Field among many. Currently operating over 120 wells in Texas and Louisiana, Arcadia is in growth mode and actively expanding its asset base.
Arcadia has oil field equipment from the pioneering days of the early Texas oil business, residing in the East Texas Oil Museum and oil derricks on display, downtown, in the City of Kilgore.
