Ardmore Teacher Training Overview
ATT provides stimulating courses for people who want to enter the exciting world of teaching English to foreign students (TEFL). The courses are open to anyone who is 18 and over, with no upper limit, and to native and non-native speakers of English. Trainees learn about up-to-date methodologies; cover the basic areas of English grammar and pronunciation and how to teach them; get teaching practice with real students and full support in the planning/preparation of the lessons, then valuable feedback after from our experienced, professional trainers; and finally graduate from the course confident of walking into a classroom and teaching. Many EFL teachers say that doing this courses is one of the best things they have ever done andthat it is truly life-changing. And, of course, having a Trinity College London CertTESOL certificate opens up a whole new range of doors around the world. Part-time and full-time courses are available in Surrey and Berkshire. The course is very full on and you really need to dedicate your time to it, but the skills acquired, not only the teaching skills, are incredible considering the number of hours of the course and certainly make up for the effort put in. All the trainers really enjoy what they do and are so keen to support all trainees and help them develop throughout the course. Being a part of a education group, we can also offer great opportunities for teaching opportunties in Ardmore Languages Schoools and with our overseas partners. We also give guidance on where to find teaching positions, including advice on the UK and abroad, and pass on any jobs that are sent to us.
