ARES - Affordable Rocket Engineering Services

We launch rockets with purpose! Welcome to Affordable Rocket Engineering Services (ARES), where rockets meet commercial application. As a project of Iowa State University's Make to Innovate program, we are dedicated to giving Iowa State University students an engineering opportunity in a commercial setting. Engineering affordable and sustainable rocket solutions to our customers is our passion! At ARES, we offer a unique opportunity for ISU students to experience engineering with business acumen. By contributing to the design, development, manufacturing, and flight of our launch platforms, students understand why things are build, how, to build them, and what they do. Through our multidisciplinary project-based learning experience, students become the architects of designing products and services that meet customer requires, then building it to spec. This is the type of hands-on experience that teaches problem solving in practice. This project is supported by funding provided by Make to Innovate (M2I), the Aerospace Engineering Dept., and the Iowa Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) at Iowa State University, Ames, IA.
