The Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu once said, “What the caterpillar calls the end, the rest of the world calls a butterfly.” You see, we delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty. This idea is what inspired me to begin this project and it is now what inspires me and my collaborators' work.
