ARIEN Project

ARIEN proposes a comprehensive workplan aligned with the 2021-2025 EU Drugs Action Plan. The project utilizes holistic innovation, employing AI-driven tools to create a real-time intelligence picture of illegal drug production and trafficking in the EU. ARIEN integrates multi-disciplinary research and a co-creation approach to make recommendations for harmonization. It aims to enhance law enforcement agencies' investigative capabilities through innovative AI techniques, monitoring online illicit drug markets, and gathering information on physical drug-dealing hotspots via social media. The project employs explainable AI methods for additional layers of analysis, providing actionable knowledge on modus operandi and emerging threats in drug-related organized crime networks. The project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under Grant Agreement no.101121329. 🇪🇺
