Arisa works to improve working conditions in international supply chains in South Asia. In collaboration with partner organisations in countries including India, Bangladesh and Pakistan, Arisa monitors working conditions in the production of garments and textiles, leather, natural stone, and vegetable seeds.
Many workers in supply chains for Dutch and other European companies face challenging working conditions and social issues. We prioritise the most vulnerable workers in these supply chains, and work to eliminate child labour, forced labour and discrimination based on caste or gender.
There is no single approach to solving human and labour rights abuses in the often-complex international supply chains. That is why Arisa combines multiple activities and mobilises a wide range of stakeholders.
