Founded in 2000 by Ermal Bleta, Roland Lika and Doriana Bozgo, Studio B&L was formally established in 2003. From the beginning the office has been involved in projects of different scales from small individual houses and residential buildings to more complex interventions of both
architectural and urban nature. The work of Studio B&L, which is present in many areas of the country, aims to represents a significant analytic and critical approach towards the context on different levels. The inspiring challenge of the team is to introduce the architectonic product as space modeller, avoiding the formal approach as an intention and reflecting as much as possible local references as geographic, climacteric, cultural, technological and economical.
With the belief in the mission that the architect has in generating built environment and being responsible for it and the social response to it, Studio B&L works to suggest new aesthetic and
ethical values, that don’t necessarily place violently, but with distinct discretion establish sustainable relationships.
Parallel to the design projects, members of Studio B&L have intensely engaged with teaching and research especially at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism.
