L’ARMEFLHOR, Association Réunionnaise pour la Modernisation de l’Economie Fruitière, Légumière et HORticole, a été créée en 1992 par les
professionnels de La Réunion. Institut technique pluridisciplinaire, membre du réseau national Acta, l'Armeflhor conduit des travaux d’expérimentation, il accompagne la modernisation et la création de filières diversifiées de production végétale (hors canne à sucre). Ses recherches appliquées ont une approche globale allant de la production à la commercialisation et répondent efficacement aux besoins de compétitivité des professionnels. L' Armeflhor est spécialisé dans les filières fruitières, légumières et horticoles.

L'institut est membre du réseau national des Digifermes. Il détient l'agrément BPE (bonnes pratiques d'expérimentation) en cultures légumières, PAPAM, fruits et cultures tropicales.
