In 2021, the Arkansas Municipal League (AML) and Arkansas Association of Counties (AAC) each received one third of Arkansas's opioid settlement funding. The two organizations came together to create the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership (ARORP), whose purpose is to strategically distribute the AAC's and AML's settlement funding back into the cities and counties of Arkansas to abate the opioid epidemic.
