We are in the midst of a global energy transition which is reshaping the way we produce and consume power. Our homes, transport networks and work places are increasingly powered by electricity. This is stretching the limits of our traditional grid infrastructure so energy producers are charging ever increasing prices in a bid to flatten the demand curve. Building owners are under pressure from their regulators and tenants to reduce their carbon emissions and are predicted to spend billions over the next 10 years retrofitting their buildings to make them more energy efficient.
