ARSAN Arıtma ve İnşaat A.Ş. was founded by Mr Mehmet İrfan Cengiz to meet the requirements of our country which has expedited infrastructural operations since 1970's. During this 40-year period, it made great business leaps and attained great success in the sectors it has entered to. ARSAN has successfully completed many infrastructural projects such as dams, irrigation projects, sewerage systems, drinking water lines, distribution lines, treatment plants as well as water storage plants, industrial wastewater treatment plants and solid waste landfill plants at home and abroad, and thus, it holds work experience certificates with a current value over 500 million dollars at present. Following the successful completion of the foregoing projects, ARSAN Group decided to expand its business field and entered into new investment areas, notably Iron and Steel Industry and Energy and Natural Gas Industry. ARSAN GROUP holds 4 Natural Gas Distribution Licences for 5 densely industrialised cities where it sells over 1.2 billion sm^3 natural gas per year to its over 500.000 subscribers in total. Operating in the Iron-Steel Industry through its subsidiary, Güney Çelik A.Ş., ARSAN GROUP is proud of having a wire plant, which is not only the largest one of Turkey, but also the only one included in the top ISO 500 companies. Attaching great importance to the environment and clean energy, ARSAN GROUP also makes investments in renewable energy sources. For this purpose, Arsan Group established 7 hydroelectric plants constructed by itself, with a total capacity of 110 MW, generating 275.000.000 KWH per year, by which Arsan contributes to meet the increasing need of Turkey for power.
