Art for Climate NFTs stop carbon emissions before they happen. Each piece embodies the specified metric tonnes of carbon dioxide (or the equivalent in any other greenhouse gas), in the form of emission permits (often called carbon credits) purchased in New Zealand's Emissions Trading Scheme. Owning an Art for Climate NFT means you are avoiding the release of the specified tonnes of carbon dioxide into our atmosphere. This is because they are not available for polluters to use. You are stopping pollution before it happens. The description of each piece details how to transparently quantify and verify the avoided carbon, so you know your impact, and so does our atmosphere.
