Art & About started as a reponsive initiative from the lack of documentation covering the Portland art community. We aim to be a resource for local artists, enthusiasts, and visitors alike. by maintaining an online website that features; an exhibition calendar; interviews with artists and curators and other thoughtful information including index and Critical Viewing. Our goal is to provide visibility into the Pacific Northwest’s contemporary art scene by showcasing emerging and established artists; alternative spaces to museums, actively connecting what is happening in our local communities to a broader art context.
