Founded in 2022, our objective is to work with thriving businesses to establish financial controls and create optimization around financial processes; thereby improving transparency and providing management with reliable and timely information to continue to grow and manage the business effectively.
Art of Accounting is incorporated in the state of New Jersey, and I as the sole owner am a licensed CPA in both NY and NJ. My educational credentials are an undergrad degree in accounting, and an MBA in Accounting & Finance. I have almost 15 years’ experience in the profession, with a mix of both the public and private sectors. Most recently I have held the Controller role for several businesses where my objective was to optimize and control the financial flow of the business.
What I have found in my roles is that the optimization process is a two-phase approach. The basis of the 1st phase is exploratory, and development driven, with an emphasis on process improvement and creation. This phase will typically take between 3-6 months on average and will require more of a weekly time commitment than the next phase.
The 2nd phase requires a minimal weekly time commitment, as the processes have been developed and need only to be sustained. In many cases, the sustaining of the process can become mechanical and be outsourced to a more automated system or a data processing resource within the team.
The phase which has always excited me is the 1st phase, this is where the opportunity for creativity and real value exists. The objective of Art of Accounting is to fulfill the needs of this first phase; however, we also plan to provide our extended services as an outsourced option for the 2nd phase.
