Artemira Publishing

Artemira (SC Artemira INTER 2015 SRL) creates and promotes learning material for studying Finnish. From 2013 - 2017 the company published the educational Finnish language magazine Puhutaan suomea. The current main activity revolves around publishing Finnish easy readers (www.easyreaders.fi). Finnish Easy Reading is a book series of Finnish classics written in easy-to-read Finnish. The first book was published in March 2018, and the number of titles reached seven in October. This book series is targeted to foreigners learning Finnish, who are interested in Finnish literature. The books are re-written in simplified Finnish closely following the author’s original style. Books are written on three levels (beginner = helppo, intermediate = keskitaso, advanced = vaativa). The improved reading experience is supported by vocabulary explanations in easy Finnish, as footnotes, comprehension questions at the end of each chapter and a section with practice exercises at the end.
