Artemis Biosystems was cofounded by Maurizio V. Cattaneo, PhD and Remco A. Spanjaard, PhD to provide biomanufacturing solutions for cell and gene therapy. In cooperation with UMass Lowell, Department of Chemical Engineering, we offer process development services in both cell and gene therapy. Artemis Biosystems is the first company to offer disposable Viral Harvest Units (VHU) designed for use with perfusion bioreactors with alternating tangential flow (and tangential flow) filtration that produce viral vectors from mammalian cells.
