Article 1 – Institute for Global Politics and Law is a think tank that works in the field of international law and international relations with a focus on Macedonia and the Balkan region. Our mission is to contribute to the fulfillment of the objectives set up in the UN Charter under Article 1. Our strategic objectives are: (i) influencing institutions so that they understand better, accept and enforce international law (ii) stimulating a public debate in the field of international relations and international law; (iii) demanding a more transparent and inclusive decision making processes in determining and conducting foreign policy; (iv) promoting new and creative approaches in overcoming challenges with global implications. In achieving our objectives, we practice methods such as research and analysis, publishing policy papers and policy briefs, organizing public events, conferences, trainings, seminars, simulations etc.
