ARTPOWER Inc. is a public benefit corporation launched to enhance the financial well-being of creatives through community building activations and providing tools designed to account for the actual costs (and value) of artistic labor. To accomplish our goal, we identify opportunities to improve artist access to diverse forms of capital such as emergency funds, fiscal sponsorships, and bridge capital; explore possibilities for the platform to increase access to portable benefits, health insurance, retirement plans, disability insurance, and other worker benefits. We believe that by building management tools designed by artists for their peers in the creative space –we can provide more equitable opportunities for wealth-building that have historically been far too disparate in our field of work.
