ARTSFILE is what happens when journalists and entrepreneurs join forces to cover and promote arts in Ottawa. Our goal is to highlight the arts in Ottawa in modern and accessible ways. Fundamental are the two principles: (1) that the arts tell the story of our community and our country; and (2) that the role of the arts journalist is one that sheds light onto this conversation. ARTSFILE’s excellent team of professional journalists is headed by Peter Robb, writer and former arts editor Ottawa Citizen. Well-respected and insightful arts critics Natasha Gauthier (classical music), Peter Simpson (visual arts), and Patrick Langston (theatre) complete the foundation of our team of journalists. And as our coverage grows, so will our team. We currently engage the growing community that supports, sustains, promotes and creates the arts in Ottawa by providing them arts journalism via a weekly email, our website with the latest in what our team is covering, Facebook and Twitter.
