ASA Microfinance Sierra Leone Limited (ASA Sierra Leone) was incorporated under The Companies Act, No. 05 of 2009 with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Sierra Leone, in May 2015 (Registration No. C.F. 001537). At the same time, the company obtained the “Certificate of Business Registration” under The Business Registration Act, No. 18/2007 (CBR/12 No. 0005762).
ASA Sierra Leone is a subsidiary of ASA International, one of the world’s largest international microfinance institutions.
ASA Sierra Leone started operations in 2016.

OBJECTIVE
Providing microfinance loans for business purposes to low-income entrepreneurs with the objective to improve financial inclusion and realize socioeconomic progress. Our loans provide an alternative to low-income entrepreneurs without access to credit from traditional banks. We provide these loans using the ASA Model. The ASA Model was introduced by Md. ASA Sierra Leone has branches in 10 regions (Lumley, Congo Town, Waterloo, Port-Loko, Kenema, Bo, Kono, Makeni, Mountain Cut, and Jui) with the largest number of branches in Bo. ASA Sierra Leone is indirectly wholly owned by ASA International Plc.
