About ASCEND Project - Munich
ASCEND The ASCEND (Accelerate Positive Clean Energy Districts) project is funded as part of the EU ‘Horizon Europe’ programme and supported by a resolution of the City Council of the City of Munich. Munich and Lyon are the two lighthouse cities in a European consortium consisting of 39 partners from science, business and administration. The aim of ASCEND is to achieve a positive energy balance in as many neighbourhoods as possible by the end of 2027. Munich has selected the Harthof neighbourhood in the north of the city as the project area. Other cities involved in ASCEND are Porto, Charleroi, Prague, Stockholm, Alba Iulia and Budapest. In addition to the City of Munich, the partners involved from Munich are Avancis, Isarwatt, Stattauto, TUM, Uniccorn and UnternehmerTUM as well as SWM, Münchner Wohnen and MGS. Further information about ASCEND can be found on our website.
