The Ascension Fund is a not-for-profit foundation that funds teacher grants through generous donations from businesses and organizations. To date, The Ascension Fund has awarded over $1.6 million in funds since its inception in 1991. Great schools have great teachers. Great teachers have great ideas. By submitting successful grant applications, area teachers can apply funds to individual projects, ensuring needs are met for all students. Through our grants, area teachers can provide the best in quality classroom learning. The Ascension Fund grants supply teachers with resources specific to their needs. When we receive money through sponsorships and individual donations, we make sure it is put to the best use. Our hopes are that all Ascension Parish students have the most successful futures possible. We make this happen with your help. Making a donation to The Ascension Fund affords area teachers the ability to implement new and creative ways for our students to learn. Whether an individual or corporate level donation, The Ascension Fund values your assistance in helping us with our mission. Each year The Ascension Fund hosts an event for Ascension Parish students--Ascension ICON. Teen vocalists audition for their chance to compete in the annual singing competition. The winners receive prizes and all proceeds benefit The Ascension Fund. In 2017, The Ascension Fund celebrated its 25th year anniversary by pledging to continue to increase the quality of education by providing schools and individual teachers with funds to implement new, creative ways for student learning. As Ascension Parish continues to grow, The Ascension Fund will continue to support local schools provide the best education for our children.
