Ascent Funds

Ascent Funds was originally launched in 2015 by Chief Investment Officer Mark Gordon and Henderson Global Investors to take advantage of the global energy cycle. Mark is an experienced energy investment professional with a career spanning 20+ years with senior positions at Janus Henderson, Paulson & Co, Soros Fund Management, and Goldman Sachs. In 2020, Mark launched the Ascent Hydrogen Fund with former President and CIO of Warburg Pincus John Vogelstein and former Chairman of Capital Markets for Fosun International, David Wu. With teams based in New York, London and Singapore, Ascent has a venture capital strategy, working closely with private late-stage growth and innovation-focused founders and companies across hydrogen production, hydrogen conversion and hydrogen applications.
