Aalto Science Institute International Summer Research Programme

The Aalto Science Institute (AScI) is a strategic initiative of the Aalto University School of Science, dedicated to advancing international collaboration and research in science and technology at the highest level. AScI’s mission encompasses exceptional quality, robust internationalization, and meaningful collaboration. Aalto researchers are supported by AScI through instruments that facilitate scientific conferences and visiting scholars at all career stages. The AScI Institute International Summer Research Programme is open to bachelor’s and master’s students from around the globe. Each year 50-60 interns join the program to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with top research groups at Aalto University, and connect with an international community. Cultural and social activities enrich this unique summer experience in Finland, making it both professionally and personally rewarding. For summer 2025, over 7200 applications were received from 136 countries.
