Bookkeeping-Made-Easy is a software package developed for and aimed mainly at sole traders and small businesses to enable them to do their own bookkeeping and self assessment, or who would like to save money by giving their accountant their accounts in good order.
As an expert bookkeeper with 25 years of bookkeeping experience and having worked with many sole traders and small businesses, I realised that there was no bookkeeping software available that was easy enough for sole traders with very simple accounts to use.
The software has a foundation in Excel and has been developed into a stand alone program that still looks like Excel - which most people know how to use - hence its simplicity. No expert bookkeeping skills are required to use the software!
