The Academia for Sustainable Development believes in स्वस्मै स्वल्पं समाजाय सर्वस्वं, which is a Shloka taken from holy book Bhagawad Gita which implies to do a little for yourself and everything for others. This belief strengthens the pathway from the theory of change to the theory of action towards people, the planet and prosperity. One of the crucial roles of the organization involves developing pathways to achieve the SDGs, following up the tasks and finally filling up the gaps. The academia influences policy decisions through active participation keeping aligned with the sustainable development goals across all levels. Such participation is ensured through developing informed research material, creating awareness and analysis of the policies in action.
