ASE (Advanced Slope Engineering) was born as a Spin Off of the University of Parma, Dept. of Engineering and Architecture, and now it is a private company. It was founded in order to produce and sell new technologies for the automated monitoring of landslides, geotechnical structures, underground excavations, enbankments, geothermal plants, rockfall barriers and historical buildings. The key instrument, engineered and produced by ASE, is MUMS (Modular Underground Monitoring System), which is a Patent proprietary technology.
