Aseman is a small business with a large impact focusing on additive manufacturing of orthopedic fixation and surgical devices. We perform all stages of design from research and development through prototyping and end product manufacturing.
Orthopedic conditions are complex in nature due to the size, angle or/and location of the treated bone. The use of additive manufacturing (AM) enables manufacturing complex geometries applicable to different orthopedic conditions directly from a digital model. The treatment of small fractures is challenging due to the size limitation of fixation devices, with the use of AM, orthopedic fixators can be easily manufactured at any desired size. In case of abnormality or specific needs of the patient, custom-designed fixators that are typically very time consuming and cost intensive can now be easily designed and manufactured.
We are a team of engineers and medical professionals focusing on composite 3D printing. Unlike conventional metalic fixators, composite counterparts are MRI friendly, Xray transparent and can be custom designed and manufactured to the patient's needs. The 3D printing nature of the project can bring advanced devices to remote undeveloped regions around the globe.
