World Refining & Petrochemicals Conference

Refining is an age old industry and has been constantly evolving over time. The Vintage refineries were very small and also predominantly fuels only Refineries. Slowly the sector has grown and Global Scale Refineries of 20 MMTPA capacity with high complexity and Integrated to Petrochemical complexes have become the order of the day. Mega Integrated Refinery & Petrochemical Complexes have huge capex requirements, mind boggling numbers of equipment, huge quantities of steel and RCC, large requirement of Manpower Machinery and need for transportation of large ODC consignments. Such Complexities of State of the Art Technology, Design, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Construction, Commissioning and Project Management requires integration of all available resources and their interweaving into a single organism, which blooms into a Mega Hydrocarbon Complex. In such Projects each element assumes significance and the need of the hour is to engage with all stakeholders to understand how we can support each other, learn from each other and make such humungous complexes a reality. Keeping the above Philosophy in focus, a Conference on "Refining & Petrochemicals 2022 and Beyond (IRPC 2022)" is being organized during 25-26 February 2022 in Delhi. The conference is aimed at sharing knowledge on the latest developments in Refining/Petrochemical Technology, deployment of latest Engineering Tools, use of AI and Digital Twins, usage of latest Project Management Techniques and Mechanization of Construction Technology. Also of concern is techniques to be deployed for maintenance of aging hydrocarbon complexes and use of new technologies to support Operation & Maintenance, while keeping the pillars of HSE under close scrutiny.
