ASHRAYA (Society for Education and Rural Development)

ASHRAYA – A Society for Education and Rural Development is a secular not for profit voluntary social service organization registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act of 1860 (Reg.No.SOR 53/1991-92). It was started in May1991. It also registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act,1976 (FCRA No.094490013) and the Income Tax Act. The thrust of the organization was that “Empowerment of deprived sections of the society viz, women, Persons With Disability, child labour and other backward class community in the society”. The organization was based at B.G.Kere which is 60 Kms away from the district head quarter, Chitradurga, Karnataka, South India
