Ashton Corporation was founded in 1987 to pursue, as a principal, the leveraged acquisition of small to mid-size companies. In its 33 years, the firm and its management, partners and predecessor companies have acquired over 50 entities between operational companies in a variety of industries and real estate properties. Several of these companies have been very successfully sold while others have become long-term portfolio companies.
In 2000 Ashton Corporation changed its name to Ashton Capital Corporation to reflect its expanded focus to Real Estate investments, with a strategic emphasis on a balanced portfolio of selected properties and portfolio companies.
