Welcome to AS Institute : AS Institute, Pakistan’s first free-market think tank, was established in April 2003 in Lahore. We are an independent, registered, non-governmental, educational, and research entity dedicated to the “welfare of the people by the people.” Our institute operates on principles of mutual help and cooperation, free from any political or partisan influence. Our guiding philosophy is founded on the values of limited government, rule of law, protection of property rights, market economy, individual freedom, and private initiative. Our Objectives: Addressing Pakistan's Challenges: We seek solutions to Pakistan's pressing issues in areas such as the economy, education, health, law, and environment, in line with our core values. We publish and promote original research and texts offering solutions, in both English, Urdu, and other regional languages. We conduct seminars, workshops, and conferences to educate and train students, teachers, lawyers, journalists, and the general public. We collaborate with individuals and organizations, both national and international, that share our aims and guiding philosophy, on the basis of equality, mutual respect, and organizational independence. We prepare, publish, and promote translations of relevant texts from other languages into Urdu and other regional languages. Promoting Solution Implementation: We strive to change the climate of opinion in Pakistan, fostering a deeper understanding of the benefits of limited government, rule of law, protection of property rights, market economy, individual freedom, and private initiative. Our activities, including those mentioned above, aim to cultivate this improved understanding among the people of Pakistan.
