Asiv Textile Industries Ltd, owned by Kibbutz Afek, is located in the north of Israel not far from Haifa, and was founded in 1986. We are operating over 70 knitting machines, either tubular or open width and producing about 350 tons of fabric monthly. All of our production is exported to Egypt under the QIZ (Qualifying Industrial Zones) agreement. Our machines are from Mayer & CIE, Unitex, Pai Lung and Vignoni. The open width machines make it possible to produce fabrics using 8-10% spandex without leaving a center crease line. We are knitting a wide range of fabrics that include Single Jersey, Ribs, Jacquard, Pointelle, Fleece, Velour, Pique etc. The fabrics are knit in various compositions using cotton, viscose and polyester ring spun yarns as well as filament yarns in synthetics and blends such as polyester, rayon, micro nylon polyamide, and others.
