The major benefit of fitting a Maintenance Bypass switch to your UPS installation is that the UPS can be serviced or completely removed without disruption to the critical load. This avoids costly down time to your operations.
Manual bypass switches can be retrofitted to an existing UPS installation or supplied as part of the initial UPS. Bypass switches are generally three position switch’s labelled Normal / Test / Bypass.
Alternative combinations and specific requirements can be designed and incorporated into the switchgear.
