Asociación Àmbit

Àmbit is an NGO with a team of over 40 professionals and a large group of volunteers, aimed at vulnerable people (migrant women over 55 years of age, ex-prisoners and people with functional disabilities). Together, members, staff and volunteers have been working every day for 30 years to build bridges and pave the way to facilitate access to normal for prisoners and ex-prisoners, with or without mental health problems. MISSION To work on the reintegration of people in prison, especially those with mental health problems, from the perspective of recovery and based on a community model with a human rights approach. VISION To be a methodological reference point for society and public administrations in the work of reintegration of people in custody. VALUES Dignity, stated in Art. 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, is the foundation of our position towards people. Justice, in its broadest sense, is the mechanism that gives meaning to our action. Respect for diversity, for personal processes, for personal decisions... It is from this respect that we intend to accompany. Freedom, in its double sense. As a state, as a natural situation of human beings. But also as a basis for the respect we have mentioned. Honesty. It is our intention to act as we say and think.
