ASOSH has a long and proud history of working with regulators, employers, unions and government departments in the pursuit of more effective health and safety policy, regulation and in particular, practice. Today across the World, the ASOSH has Hundreds of members and partnerships with many companies who share our vision of safe and healthy workers in productive workplaces and communities. The health and safety profession has a unique voice, and the American Society for Occupational Safety & Health seeks to express that voice in a positive way as a contribution to the development of Workplace Health and Safety Policy and practice in USA & Worldwide. The Institute has an overarching Policy Agenda, which outlines our core beliefs and the key areas of the focus for our policy, and a series of Position Statements, which reflect the views of the Institute on a range of matters at any given time. ASOSH Vision is safe and healthy people in productive workplaces and communities. We focus our resources on: Supporting the development of world class health and safety practice: Developing and refining the body of knowledge for health and safety. Improving health and safety education and training; Building strong professional development frameworks; Keeping the profession well informed; and Supporting stronger networking and engagement. Provide counseling, advice and support to individuals, organizations and companies to achieve a safe working environment and safety positive culture
