ASPAT began its work in Peru in 2007, as a result of two people who were affected by tuberculosis, Melecio Mayta and Juan León; who, thanks to their solidarity and enthusiasm, decide to support children, young people, women and older adults who suffer from this disease. What started with a couple of volunteers soon became a movement powered by more than 50 people, committed to developing new tools and resources necessary to combat the disease.
