Asquith Venture

First there was Asquith Venture. Then a decade of my time and a lot of OPM disappeared into the punchline of the joke "how do you make a small fortune in Israel?" Then there was Asquith Venture again. If you're reading this, you fall into one of three categories: 1. You signed up in the heady days of Asquith Israel and you never left. Well, I have some bad news for you. 2. You came here because you're hoping to tap me up for some money. Well, I have some bad news for you. 3. You are a mate or acquaintance of mine, and wondered what I was up to or perhaps was trying to answer the infamous dinner party conversation "what does Michael DO for a living? Well, I have some bad news for you. Okay but seriously, I manage a small pot of my own capital, dabbling in all kinds of esoteric investments around the world, usually alongside people I know. I don't do unsolicited deals with strangers. I have a good eye for quirky solutions, to big business problems, deal structure, conflict resolution etc. Whilst I haven't the slightest interest in a job, you're welcome to hire me to help you look at your issues. My rates are very reasonable - no contractual amount at all except for generous expenses and then you can tip me what you think my advice is worth, in cash and/or kind, on condition that I can make it public (see the little double-edged sword?). I'm not an input-related guy, so don't expect to see me put in long hours. I'm also not an ops guy so there won't be any implementation or much of a tedious business plan or other write-up. I come by, we shoot the breeze, we unblock the problem, I make it feel like you resolved it for yourself, you wonder how this is worth 5% of your business or a 5-figure sum, I remind you how you felt yesterday, you cough up. No, few people hire me, because I have a track record of failure running my own business. But that's the point. MY business. And RUNNING it.
