Human rights association for community development in Assiut was established in 2004, registration number 596/2004 under the umbrella of the Ministry of social solidarity and Justice is a non-governmental organization that works to promote and protect the human rights of Egyptian citizens, especially in the upper Egypt community. The association is concerned about marginalized groups including children, women, youth, and violations of human rights in Egypt. After 7 years of working in the field, the Association 2012 enjoyed consultative status with the Economic and social council of the united nations. Also, the Association has a partnership with the European Union.
