Associated Contracting, Inc.

Associated Contracting, Inc., specializing in structural concrete and masonry, was founded by Kendall Chaffee in 1998. Kendall began his construction career in 1984 as an entry level laborer in Massachusetts. Over the next 10 years, Kendall ascended through the ranks while developing an understanding of construction at all levels. During this time, he enrolled in and successfully completed Northeastern University’s construction technology program. By the mid '90s, Kendall worked as project manager and licensed qualifier for a Massachusetts-based design/build company. He speaks fluent Spanish and has organized and worked several mission trips building churches to support the large Cuban refugee community in the Caribbean. Shortly after moving to Florida, Kendall received his state contractor’s license and formed Associated Contracting, Inc. with partners Don Santora, business and financial officer, and Rumualdo Olivarez, field operations manager. The goal was to build a business with annual sales of $5,000,000. The results were ACI saw revenues double each of the first six years from $200,000 in 1998 to over $10,000,000 in 2006. Currently, the staff of over 100 allows ACI the flexibility to excel at large commercial projects and still maintain the service and satisfaction one would expect from a smaller company. ACI’s success has been achieved by providing service, an extensive employee training program emphasizing quality workmanship, and above all, safety. Our in-house forming crews, flatwork crews and award-winning masonry crew allow ACI to perform efficiently on a multitude of projects. In the field, supervisors are rewarded for accuracy as well as timely project completions. ACI clients are provided with daily status reports in the belief that the success of any project starts and ends with good communications.
